Prognostic Factors of Children Systemic Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective: To investigate clinical characteristics and prognosis factors of children systemic rheumatoid arthritis in order to raise awareness on children systemic rheumatoid arthritis.

Methods: statistics and analysis relevant information of 21 patients with children systemic rheumatoid arthritis.

Results:  methotrexate treatment is important for  complete remission of children rheumatoid arthritis; elevated C-reactive protein and platelet levels are not conducive to disease remission. Younger children and female patients have higher long-term disability rate.


Conclusion: Children systemic rheumatoid arthritis has poor prognosis. There is a higher mortality & morbidity in patients with recurrent disease for over 5 years. Early  treatment, including joint programs, including methotrexate, shortening glucocorticoid treatments and reducing dosage, monitoring various infections, is important  in order to improve the prognosis.
